Founder Aaron Skirrow

Arron Skirrow - skirrowbuild.com Aaron Skirrow, owner, designer, and builder at Skirrow Design Build, brings over 29 years of hands-on construction experience in the Milwaukee area. A Brookfield, Wisconsin native, Aaron graduated from Brookfield East High School in 1989. He served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and earned 90 credits at UW-Milwaukee before shifting focus to construction in 1996.

In addition to his passion for designing and building stunning living spaces, Aaron enjoys playing soccer and pickleball with his children. He also enjoys biking on local trails and visiting the scenic Door County in the summer. Aaron resides in Brookfield with his wife and three children, and the family is deeply involved in their local church, valuing time spent and invested in others.

Our Team

Josh Uttech

Josh Uttech is a master carpenter and foreman at Skirrow Design Build, bringing over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He joined our team in 2009 and has earned a reputation as a true master carpenter, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Originally from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Josh graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 1997. He then pursued a degree in Auto Mechanics at Lakeshore Technical College before completing their 3-year Carpentry apprenticeship program. Josh moved his family to Brookfield in 2009 to start at Skirrow Design Build.

Outside of work, Josh is dedicated to his wife and four children. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, hunting, and camping. Josh and his family are actively involved in their church, where they have formed close-knit relationships. Clients appreciate Josh for his helpful nature, reliability, and exceptional skills. Quiet, intelligent, honest, and hardworking, Josh is a valued member of our team, and we know you’ll appreciate him just as much as we do.

Evan Skirrow

Evan Skirrow began working at Skirrow Design Build part-time during his high school summer breaks. After graduating from Brookfield East High School in 2019, he transitioned to a full-time role with the company.

Evan is highly disciplined, organized, and particularly passionate about the finishing touches of remodeling. He excels in trim carpentry, tile work, and painting. Additionally, he has a sharp business acumen and enjoys working closely with clients, embracing all aspects of construction.

Evan also spent six months on a short-term mission trip with YWAM, where he met his wonderful wife, Ariane. In his free time, he enjoys hitting the gym, kayaking and fishing, and spending time outdoors. Evan is a valued and appreciated member of our team!
